Friday Fictioneers: Sugar

SUGAR

My husband was incredibly stubborn. How stubborn? I hear you ask.

Well one time he put salt in his tea instead of sugar and when he was called upon it he said it was intentional and then for the next twenty years or so took two teaspoons of salt in his tea.

At his funeral his family met together in his favourite cafe and each ordered a cup of tea.

Then we each added two heaped spoons of salt into our cups and drank them down.

We all made content noises and pretended the drink didn’t taste like hot tears.
