Friday Fictioneers: Halloween Costume

three_chairs

What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

An awkward conversation with my girlfriend’s super religious parents. I’ll just wear three chairs, a table, and a bland setting.

That’s it?

Yeah, and I’ll just tell bad jokes and try not to swear. I’ll get two older people to come with me and they can sit in the other chairs. They can ask me about my job prospects and try not to give me disapproving looks. Eventually, they’ll ask me what church my family go to and I’ll panic and start rambling about Jesus.

Seems quite elaborate.

And scary as hell.
